"Shinjo (真上)," a limited distribution sake brand launched in 2020, is managed by young brewmaster Takuji Usui, who handles everything from sake quality design to production and sales. In 2020, an employee from SAKE Street Japan strongly recommended that this brand should be carried at our store, insisting that "the brewmaster has potential, so the quality of this brand will definitely improve."

Upon tasting it, my honest impression was that it was "an ordinary sake." However, driven by his enthusiasm, I decided to carry it for the first time among stores in Tokyo. Since then, the quality of the sake has improved significantly each year, now rivaling or even surpassing popular brands, steadily gaining more fans. Trusting the employee's judgement was the right decision and we are delighted to bring and introduce Shinjo to Singapore!
